Cottage Country – Buckshot Lake

Over the last few weeks Joe and I have made a few short trips into “cottage country”. One of them was to visit Robert and Wanda at their cottage on Buckshot Lake.  Buckshot Lake is about 2 hours due north of Napanee not far from the little village of Plevna. Joe and I live in the country on the shores of Lake Ontario, but an inland lake visit provides a change of scenery and an opportunity for some socializing and some fishing. I always look forward to another chance to practice my hummingbird shots and Wanda has a hummingbird feeder.

We enjoyed our short 2 day visit and I’ve included some of the better photo opportunities that I experienced while we were there. Katie, Wanda’s indoor cat, was oblivious to the ducks, chipmunks and hummingbirds that were just outside her door. She relaxed on the sofa while I was watching nature from behind the lens.

They are all fabulous but I’m
blown away by the hummingbird photos!

    • Ginette,
Glad you like the hummingbirds. I’m still working on improving my bird photography. I plan to take a course with David Hemmings this fall to get some tips from one of the experts.
      Thanks for your comment!
      Jane
