]On Friday, July 30th, Joe and I began our weekend journey to a friend’s wedding in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. Sturgeon Falls is a small town about 30 minutes west of North Bay. We planned our route from Newcastle up Highway #12 to Highway #11 hoping to stop and see some interesting spots in the Township of Lake of Bays. As we neared Huntsville, we were ready for lunch so decided to stop there.
This touristy town was very busy on the long weekend but after lunch we managed to book a spot on a small tour boat. The one and a half hour tour around Fairy Lake gave us an opportunity to see some of the lovely cottages and the many boaters enjoying the hot July day.
