Over the last few weeks, except the rainy one, I have spent a great deal of time on our woodland trail taking dozens of photos of the birds. Until our recent harvest, the trail was surrounded on both sides by fields of grain corn. The corn’s presence seemed to add to the numbers and different varieties of birds on the trail, providing lots of food for both the wild-life and the bird-life.
I will attach only one of my favourite pictures to this post and ask that you look for the link to my new Flickr site just on the right side panel of this page. Under the third owl, you will see the words “more photos”. Just click under it and you will see more of my wild birds. There you will discover a large set of bird photos that I took along our trail.
Merlin worked some magic and shared his best side. Beautifully captured!
I was so surprised to see it and then to actually get a photo. It was the first Merlin that I’ve seen. Thanks! Jane
