A Winter Wonderland…….Not Quite, Black and White

Winter came to the farm early this year and each day we get a little more snow. For me, it has been delightful as I was getting tired of the bland landscapes that followed the beautiful fall colours.

These photos were taken after our first significant snowfall. Some of them will make lovely Christmas cards for next year.  The photos have not been converted to black and white and if you look closely at some of the skies, you will likely see a touch of blue. My next post will feature some sunny winter day photos. These, however, are more typical of winter on the north shore of Lake Ontario.

I hope everyone who follows my blog is enjoying this busy time of year but will take the time to notice the beauty of winter. I wish you all a wonderful Christmas Season, rich in joy and warm with memories.

Jane Walker is a Newcastle photographer who creates framed photographs, photo trays and matted greeting cards reflecting the beauty of nature and gardens. Her recent interest in birds, owls and other wildlife is now being reflected in her posts. As a member of the Oshawa Camera Club, Jane has started to enter some of her photos for judging and appreciates the critiques by the judges. You'll be surprised at what shows up under the guise of "janewalkerscards".

I posted a comment. Check to see if you got it. Loved the tranquility! Makes me want to be home for a Christmas scene like that. Gayle

    • Sorry I didn’t respond sooner to your comment. Somehow it isn’t much different than when I was working….can’t keep up with my e-mails! Christmas here would not have been great with the ice storm and lack of power. Aruba seems like the place to be this time of year. Enjoy all of those “delicious” days that you talk about! Jane
